For the past 20 years, Victoria has had a private practice in Spiritual Direction and Energy Medicine, offering both unique and time honored techniques for spiritual, physical and emotional healing.
She began her integrative healing when she studied Polarity Therapy with Maruti Seidman, continuing on to engage in body energetic training with Sharon Porter and Sue Hovland.
While at Iliff School of Theology, Victoria earned a Master’s of Religion degree from Iliff School of Theology in Women’s Studies, studying Spiritual Direction, meditation, and Psychosynthesis with Jane Vennard.
Victoria’s major contribution to the field of Spiritual Counseling has been through the development of Christosynthesis, a technique that draws upon depth psychology, the teachings of mystics (such as Teresa of Avila), and body-centered energy work, utilizing the mystical metaphor of Christ who was both spirit and flesh.
Her spiritual counseling practice also draws on the work of Hal and Sidra Stone (Voice Dialogue), Brugh Joy, Thomas Merton, Thomas Keating (Centering Prayer), Harville Hendrix (Imago couples counseling), Luana Veo (Breathing Awareness) and Energy Psychology.
She holds a Certificate in Brain Nutrition from the Brain Optimization Institute and has been certified as a hypnotist by the Hypnosis Motivation Institute. She has additional specialized certifications for weight loss and smoking cessation.
Victoria’s career also includes advocacy for youth mental health and violence prevention, as well as many years as a college professor, teaching Spanish, Marriage & Families, and Comparative World Religions.
Besides offering individual and group experiences, she is devoted to global perspectives of peace-making and social justice.
